In a letter to GPMU members at the Leeds firm, who make up less than 15% of the 200-strong workforce, the GPMU said it planned "a vigorous and high-profile campaign" against Scorpio.
Scorpio chairman David Richmond said: "How do they expect to have a relationship if they use this sort of tactic? We agreed last year that they could address the workforce but heard nothing. This is not a constructive dialogue."
Richmond has sent an open letter to employees stating the firms position and its record on investment and remuneration.
