The Wam!Net parent's outsourced technology platform could save companies as much as 50% on their IT costs.
Savvis managing director Richard Warley said that customers would pay a monthly fee for the services such as managed hosting as required, with more functionality able to be added.
A series of strategic partnerships form the basis of the service: Inkra, which provides hosting capabilities, Egenera with its BladeFrame technology, 3Par with storage service capabilities and Nortel Networks network infrastructure.
Warley said four clients were currently using the system in the UK and that it is relevant to print and publishing clients as it is a sector that looks to cut costs and improve flexibility.
