Sales strategist Singh exits Blackburns

Blackburns group sales and marketing director Gurdev Singh has left the company after just eight months.

He joined the Leeds-based print and direct mail group from Communisis Chorleys in January this year, taking a "considerable interest" in the business.

It is understood Singh left the firm last Friday (20 August) but no further information was available as PrintWeek went to press on Tuesday. A statement from Singh and Blackburns was expected to be issued on Wednesday (25 August).

Singh was recruited by Blackburns to develop a new "business improvement strategy" and was the driving force behind the group's rebrand from John Blackburn earlier this summer. He recruited a number of new salesmen including ex-K2 business development director Keith Tyler and former Howitt sales manager Paul Millington.
