RnB increase in C4-sized mailings

RnB Direct Mail Solutions has purchased a second Norpak CF-35 polywrapping machine together with an eight-station Bell & Howell Vitesse Jumbo enclosing machine for its 1,400sqm Leeds factory.

Both machines had been refurbished and amount to a 60,000 spend. The investment comes in anticipation of an increase in C4-sized mailings once the Royal Mail's Pricing in Proportion policy comes into effect in August.

Bob Rhodes, co-director of the Yorkshire firm, said: "The market will benefit from price reductions for packs that weigh more and we wanted to be equipped ready for that. Anything bigger than C5 and weighing over 60g will see a reduction in postage cost."

Rhodes also revealed that the direct mail company had beaten its 250,000 annual turnover target by around 50,000. Rhodes said: "The figure hasn't been finalised as yet, but it was more than what was expected."
