Kidderminster-based TPL has taken over production of Commercial Motor, while Motor Transport, Truck and Truck & Driver have moved to Polestar Colchester.
RBI production director Peter Regis said the swap was cost-neutral and would accommodate changes to Commercial Motors format while maintaining the publishers volume at both printers.
The redesign means rescheduling and this was better for logistics. We have such a good relationship with TPL and Polestar that we are able to do that, said Regis.
However, Regis would not reveal any more production details of the redesign or when the new-look Commercial Motor, which has a circulation of 21,469, would launch.
The reshuffle is not part of a group-wide supplier review by RBI.
RBI extended its contract with Polestar a year ago to December 2005 (PrintWeek, 9 August 2002).
