R6 Consultancy, based in Burton Upon Trent, Staffordshire, is initially concentrating on transporting print within Europe, but wants to extend its services to include address and data management, marketing services and transactional mail production as required.
Managing partner Graham Rothery said R6s objective was to pick the best options for customers, particularly in direct mail, mail order and financial sectors, and provide alternatives to the Royal Mail.
We are not necessarily beholden to any one supplier as we have the transport solution to use a printer anywhere in the world, said Rothery. We currently have a job being printed in Nottingham that will then be mailed in Spain. And weve also been consulted by a large mailing house to look at getting UK-printed work to the US.
Rothery claimed R6 was in tenders that would gross around 10m worth of work, and was hopeful of securing at least half of that.
