PwC looking for Boxstar buyer

Packaging firm Boxstar has gone into administration with no immediate redundancies.

PricewaterhouseCoopers has been appointed administrator with a view to finding a buyer for the business as a going concern. Boxstar will continue to trade over its four sites in Accrington, Leicester, Maidenhead and Leeds. It has a 300-strong workforce.

"The business is very well established with a strong customer base," said joint administrator Mike Horrocks.

Boxstar was part of Polestar until a management buyout led by managing director Peter Watson last September.
