Proof4press is hit for PPA as it accredits Agfa

Agfas newest Grand Sherpa, the 50M, has become the latest proofer to be accredited under the PPAs proof4press initiative. Along with the Sherpa the PPA has now approved five machines for producing proofs accredited by proof4press: DuPonts A Series and b Series, Creos Iris and Veris and now the Grand Sherpa.

Four other suppliers are in the process of having their machines approved, with the next meeting due to take place at the beginning of August. Other vendors have asked to join the scheme and as a result the PPA pass4press committee has had to double the number of days per quarter it devotes to proof4press tests.

 

Due to the influx of machines to test and the costs involved vendors will have to join the PPA as associate members and pay a fee to cover the test costs.
