The content of the web-based sessions was developed by the CIP4 Technical Committee. Session presenters include Heidelbergs head of research & development Rainer Prosi as well as experts from Agfa and EFI.
As well as covering the objectives of JDF, and the basics of JDF, XML and JMF there are also specific sessions on automating pre-flighting and how JDF can be implemented in pre-press, print and finishing.
The JDF seminar program will begin next Tuesday (20 January). The web-based sessions will take place at 5pm (noon Eastern US time) every other Tuesday for 13 weeks. As well as these live session that allow interaction and questions to the presenter the seminars will be archived for access as and when suits participants unable to attend the live sessions. Recorded sessions will be available until the end of the course, for those that join after it has started and for revision. There is also an option to attend live sessions and access recorded sessions.
The course can be taken as a whole or individual sessions as wanted can be booked.
