PrintPricer has launched a new version of its instant online quotation and ordering service, which will enable printers to provide bespoke pricing on their web sites.
PrintPricers system does not require any hard- or software to be installed at the printers location and rates are controlled by the printer via a password-protected web page.
Currently the PrintPricer site has 2,200 print buyers registered to it who are responsible for an estimated 340m of purchases a year.
The system has so far provided more than 6,500 quotes for different jobs.
PrintPricer business development manager Len Davy, said: "Our research shows that print buyers prefer to keep doing business with their existing printers, as long as their service keeps up to date with new developments."
Davy said that he expected the number of printing companies registering for the personalised instant quotation service to be in the thousands shortly. Companies will pay a monthly subscription fee of 350 for PrintPricers marketing, quotation and ordering services which are accessed through its browser.
"Other print dotcoms are chronologically slow with faxes being sent between parties. But with this system customers get an answer straight away, and can order straight away," said Davy. He added that the system would allow print sales staff and estimators to concentrate on their jobs rather than becoming embroiled in costly inquiries.
