Printmax supports Mimaki growth with new hire

Large-format reseller Printmax has continued its recent growth by taking on additional technical consultant Martin Cole to "fill a Mimaki void in the business".

The company took on the Mimaki range of products in September, to sit alongside its Roland DG portfolio, and has recently announced its most successful trading months to date.

“We’ve seen such strong demand of the Mimaki products since September that we really had to look at taking on another technical consultant,” said Printmax managing director Michael Bolton.

“Our existing team have vast experience and knowledge covering many manufacturers and when we looked at expanding our team it was important that this person had not only Mimaki knowledge but could benefit from further exposure to the Roland product line.

“I am confident that Martin will be a very welcome and valuable member of our team. With his existing Mimaki knowledge and a fantastic attitude he was the clear choice.”

Cole, who joined the company last month, previously worked for five and a half years as a mobile service technician at Graphic Printing Technologies, which also sells Mimaki technology.

He said: “I'm already on the road and learning a bit from Simon [Coff], the other technical consultant at Printmax. I'm teaching him some Mimaki bits and he's teaching me some Roland bits.

“I'll be responsible for installs, training and demonstrations. At the beginning I will be a bit more Mimaki focused and then when I'm up to scratch on the Rolands Simon and I will share the work between us.”

The company is showing its range of Mimaki kit for the first time this week at Mimaki UK’s distributor Hybrid Services’ headquarters in Crewe.
