Printers hit by Emap closures

Print groups Cooper Clegg and St Ives have been hit by Emaps closure of <i>J17</i> magazine, and suspension of style bible <i>The Face</i>.

The Face is printed at St Ives and J17 is printed at Cooper Clegg.

The latest ABC figures for The Face showed a fall of 4.6% year on year to 40,286, a big slump from its mid-1990s high of 113,000 a month.

ABC figures for J17 were 135,000, down 6% year-on-year.

The last edition of J17 will be the May issue, while The Face will be suspended after the May issue, both will go on sale in April.
