Craig Macleod is being held with four other Rangers football fans in a Stuttgart prison, accused of trying to use counterfeit euros worth thousands of pounds while visiting the town for a Champions League match.
Macleod is alleged to have shown forged euro banknotes to his colleagues at Thomson Lithos East Kilbride site, before he travelled to Stuttgart for the Rangers game.
In a report in a Scottish Sunday paper yesterday, a Thomson Litho spokesman said the firm had not been made aware of any police investigation involving any member of its staff.
Managing director Ken Thomson and HR director Alan Watson were unavailable for comment.
A police spokesman said in the Sunday Mail article that they were investigating who had printed the notes.
