Printanet was launched last year (PrintWeek, 29 June 2001), and was shown for the first time at Chicagos Print 01 show in September.
It includes pricing, ordering, soft and remote proofing, colour management, pre-flight checking and file transfer functions.
Tim Smith, httprints European sales and marketing director, said the system would be marketed on a local basis by participating Karat users, collectively through the global network of sites, and in partnership with KBA.
We are now looking at the reality of the same document being produced in London, Frankfurt, New York and Hong Kong simultaneously.
