Prime Litho Printing Services director Jon Tolley said that the firms first digital machine was chosen after print trials with top manufacturers. The Indigo 3050 able to produce 4,000 four-colour A4 prints an hour will complement the firms three B3 Heidelberg presses.
To illustrate the quality of the four-colour 3050 Prime Litho Printing Services has sent out mailers printed on a digital press along with a comparable print on its litho presses.
We showed the prints to seasoned print buyers and asked then to pick which one was digital and which one was litho. About 90% of them got it wrong. The quality is superb, said Tolley.
The 13-employee company plans to run a series of workshops for clients to show how they can benefit from digital.
