Managing director Grant Mahoney, who set up the Kent-based firm in 1990, said the web-trimming facility reduced the width of reels without rewinding.
The mobile trimmer sits on a trailer with the reel feeding into the machine. The end of the reel is removed, leaving the finished reel with a narrower width.
Mahoney said the trimmer, which uses a unique patented technology, can also convert damaged stock and trim a range of grades, from krafts to mechanical supercalendered paper and newsprint.
"With publishers changing printers, a reel can be altered easily to fit a different press," he added.
The trimmer handles reels 400-3,500mm wide and 500-1,500mm in diameter.
The web divider, based at the company's Sittingbourne plant, can divide a reel into one or more webs without any rewinding.
It is currently being modified to cope with widths of up to 4,300mm and weights of 5,000kgs.
