He told the groups AGM that it would report a loss for the six months to 30 September.
A combination of continued weak trading and the costs of the relocation and reorganisation it announced last week would result in a further loss in the second half of its current financial year, he added.
But Thomas Potts would return to profitability with the benefits of the reorganisation, he said.
