The firm has been granted planning permission to develop an old industrial site on Hodgson Street, only yards from its main site on Moore Street.
The new site will incorporate 68 apartments over the commercial space and basement car parking facilities.
Pinders joint managing director David Whiteway said: "This is a massive step for the business. The scheme represents a significant regeneration of a run down and under-utilised industrial area with the prospect of new employment uses in a highly sustainable location."
The company is also aiming to get planning permission to change the brick frontage on its Moore Street site to a more modern look.
