Pims evaluates its operations

Pims New York and Chicago operations have filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection, but its UK operations remain unaffected.

Pims chairman Julian Henchley said that there was "nothing sinister" behind the move, and that it was simply a "restructuring of the business".

In the UK the firm has also closed its Basildon digital facility, and moved into a 2,200sqm central London operation.

Henchley said he expects the two US firms to re-emerge from bankruptcy protection by March 2006.
