The Tyne & Wear packaging specialist produced the range for ET Sutherland & Son using its three Komori six-colour 640s plus coaters.
PDG production director Alan Dawes said the firm printed around 20,000 cartons on folding boxboard material in five colours plus UV varnish.
Sutherlands, a division of Greencore, worked with PDG to tight deadlines to produce the cartons for the launch of the new range, which includes Steak and Boddingtons pie and Steak and Boddingtons stew.
Food packaging accounts for around 80% of PDGs turnover. The company also supplies packaging for the healthcare, DIY and gift sectors in the UK, mainland Europe and North America.
PDG won a contract last month to print the packaging for a range of 28 soups for Erin Foods, an Irish division of Campbells Soups (PrintWeek, 10 October).
PDG, which also counts Headland Foods and De Witts among its customers, had a turnover of 15.2m in 2002.
