The investment formed part of a 400,000 expansion for the Liverpool-based firm, in a bid to improve service and streamline production.

Director Toby Parker said this had also involved the company moving to a new 1,486m2 factory at Knowsley, having outgrown its previous site.

Additional staff had also been added at the site, which has been designed to meet latest environmental and security European regulations.

The new site houses precision sleeve and label applicators for packaging, label and shrink sleeve production.

Parker's clients include food suppliers such as Tesco, Asda, Waitrose and Marks & Spencer.
