Park Lane Press installs second ImagePress C700VP

Park Lane Press has bumped up its digital print capacity in response to growing demand after adding its second Canon ImagePress C7000VP.

The Corsham, Wiltshire-based printer has taken delivery of the second such machine in two years and plans to drive more variable data work powered by its XMPie software.

According to Park Lane Press managing director Phil Sudwell, the digital printers are a complementary addition to the company's litho portfolio, a move that has helped it increase its competitiveness in the digital marketplace.

"The added advantage is that our prices are very competitive compared to other digital print providers, to the point where we are winning new clients on a daily basis," he added.

In addition to short-run work, such as leaflets and brochures, the company can wield the increased press firepower to roll-out bulk personalised mailings for clients.

To attract new clients to the digital element of the business, the company has run initiatives such as producing copies free-of-charge to demonstrate the print quality available.

The latest addition also ties in with the printer's green stance thanks to the lack of solvents used in the print process coupled with the recyclable toner ink cartridges

"The Canon equipment has proven to be a successful addition to our plant list. I am delighted with the quality that the machines provide, and in my view they are the best on the market," added Sudwell.
