The deal was announced as the 4050 was launched at Fedrigoni's Northampton headquarters last week. The event was attended by representatives from label and packaging companies.
The web-fed digital label press was sold to the Lincolnshire-based company this month. The machine is designed to produce short- and medium-run jobs.
HP partners, including Esko-Graphics, AB Graphics and Fedrigoni presented at the event. HP claimed the 4050 would save companies money in the long term and compared flexo and digital on a range of jobs, in areas including start up and waste.
"The press produces more jobs per shift and more profit per job," said HP Indigo sales programme manager Syd Roberts. "But digital will complement existing conventional flexo presses." The 4050 succeeds Indigo's 4000 press.
