Driem Papier will be combined into Proost en Brandt, with the loss of 50 jobs.
The packaging business of Proost en Brandt will be merged into Bhrmann-Ubbens, with 10 jobs being cut in the process.
The job cuts will affect a variety of positions within the firms, including internal and external sales and logistics.
The changes will take effect during the first half of this year, with the 60 jobs being cut out of a combined total of 900 employees.
PaperlinX Europe chief executive Eduard de Voogd said the initiative had been taken due to the decrease in the fine papers business over the past five years.
The Australian paper merchanting group has been in talks with the Dutch Central Works Council, and together the two parties have formalised a social plan for those staff affected.
