Pantone to offer free colour management seminars

Pantone has announced a series of six free half-day seminars on the latest colour management standards.

The seminars, which are being hosted by Bodoni Systems, will take place in Manchester, Birmingham and London from 27 to 29 January 2009.

Pantone said the courses were targeted at professional designers, ad agencies and print specifiers with the aim of educating them on the colour workflow.

Paul Graham of Pantone said: "Everyday we see designers failing to get the colour they want. Pantone plays a central role in colour communication for all graphic designers and it is in our interest that the processes they use result in accurate results."

Whilst accurate colour can be consistently achieved using ISO 12647-2 printing standards in conjunction with ICC colour profiles, Pantone said that users needed to understand the process.

More details on the seminars can be found on the company's website.
