The firm was visited by Gallus vice chairman Ferdinand Resch who described the relationship between the two firms as a close-working partnership. Hi-fli Banners & Flags has provided 432 custom-made banners and flags for EuroJam 2005, Europe's biggest scout jamboree. The event was held at Hylands Park in Chelmsford and concluded yesterday (10 August). "This was our single biggest order to date, both in monetary and production terms," said Hi-fli general manager Rory Blackwood.

The BPIF Legal Department has made two appointments. Nicola Langley joins as a commercial solicitor with 15 years' experience, while Michelle Leney links up with the federation as an administrator with 20 years' experience in construction and planning work. De La Rue has celebrated the 150th anniversary of its first postage stamp by issuing a commemorative set of First Day covers. The set will feature the highly sought after 4d carmine red, the first British postage stamp printed by the firm, which was issued on 31 July 1855.

The Heidelberg Roadshow has signed up to feature at this year's Print for Business Exhibition. The event runs from 5-6 October at the International Centre, Telford. It is the roadshow's first showing at an exhibition in the UK. "It will give visitors a first-hand experience of the most up-to-date small-format printing equipment available in the UK," said IPIA chief executive David Sewell.
