OS signs five-year Fuji plate deal

Fujifilm has been awarded a five-year plate supply contract by Ordnance Survey (OS), Great Britain's national mapping agency, for its Brillia HD LH-PJE thermal plates.

David Freemantle, print customer services manager at the £100m turnover organisation, said that "consistency" and "reliability" were central to the Ordnance Survey's requirements.

"During the tender process, it became apparent that Fujifilm provides the most competive offering without compromising on quality," he added.

The Brillia HD LH-PJE plate is a long-run, positive working thermal CTP plate that does not require pre-heating or post-baking and is suitable for UV printing without baking.

Sean Lane, technical support manager for plates at Fujifilm, said: "Our Brillia HD LH-PJE plates are well established in the marketplace and continue to be a popular choice for printers throughout Europe."
