The Walsall-based printer will run the Komori Lithrone L1028P press alongside an existing B2 five-colour L528 with coater.
Ortek has been operating a five-colour Lithrone L528 for four years and a Lithrone L528 with coater for 18 months, and while these had performed superbly, managing director Craig Morris said that the firm had reached a point where it was up to capacity.
"I needed to be convinced, but after seeing demonstrations of 10-colour Lithrones, I was left in no doubt," said Morris, who formed Ortek 14 years ago.
The company's production includes catalogues, brochures, direct mail, sheetfed magazines, reports and accounts and greetings cards.
