The co-chair is Tim Daisy, previously of Printcafe, who has just joined Creo.
The group is currently working to develop the Interoperability Conformance Specifications (ICS) guidelines describing how MIS will communicate with pre-press, press and finishing equipment within a JDF environment.
The MIS working group has proved to be a popular group since it was announced at the end of October, with more than two dozen firms signing up.
MIS is our largest working group by a long way, said CIP4 chief executive Martin Bailey.
X-Rite recently joined CIP4 as a full member. There are now 177 firms involved.
Network Graphic Production has passed a vote that requires all its members to join CIP4.
