The CS6060, which will be available next month, is designed for short-run, outdoor durable graphics that will be viewed close up.
Its low-solvent inks produce vibrant results that have outdoor durability of up to three years and can print onto uncoated media.
The firm is aiming the CS 6060 at point of sale, vehicle graphics, exhibition graphics and window display applications. It is a six-colour machine with a maximum speed of 30.6m2 per hour and true 720x720dpi resolution. A starter kit including an Onyx RIP and an external dryer will be available.
Oc's results for the second quarter of the year saw net income rise, despite falling sales. Revenue for the second quarter was down 1.4% to 454.4m (E682m) with net income up 12.9% to 14.3m. This was due to currency effects and the move of its leasing to external firms. Otherwise the firm had modest organic growth overall, but strong growth in the sales of printers, which it expects to produce growth in service and consumables revenue in the future.
