Westvaco has released a lower weight version of its Crescendo coated one-side board, aimed at helping commercial printers achieve enhanced ink receptivity and colour.
The range was developed over two years specifically for the European market and is distributed in the UK by Hedsorboard.
Westvaco business manager global graphics Tara Rogers said: "The European market demands an extremely blue-white paperboard with excellent smoothness and that is what we delivered."
The paperboard, which can used by litho, gravure, letterpress and flexo printers, is available in weights up to 330gsm. It is also compatible with pearl, iridescent and UV coatings.
