The company aims to improve its sector share, in both rotogravure and offset grade production. This will involve an increase in certain production capacities and the introduction of new grades.
It has earmarked 41m for MD Platting to raise its gravure capacity by 35,000 tonnes to 385,000 tonnes per year and expects to improve sheet formation.
A new grade of supercalendered Paper MyFuture 44 will be produced at Lang Papier at the cost of 21m. Lang will overhaul its de-inking plant, which will be finished in September this year.
This is the first in a three-stage programme lasting until 2007. Some 14m will also be spent on Myllykoski Paper's new peroxide bleaching plant in an effort to produce high brightness paper.
