Mockett was previously a sector leader at PricewaterhouseCoopers. He worked there for eight years, and during the last three advised on some 1.64bn ($3bn) worth of deals in the sector including Linpac, Jaycare and Bemrosebooth.
London-based Europa is an independent investment bank that specialises in high-level strategic corporate finance advice across a number of sectors including PPP and TMT (technology, media and telecoms).
"I'm delighted to be here as we are able to service our clients in a conflict-free environment," Mockett said. "This is a great opportunity and the telephone has hardly stopped ringing. I'm anticipating more activity in the PPP space particularly because of the private equity interest."
Mockett's former PWC colleague James Finnegan has also moved to Europa.
