The MIS was developed to allow a customer using eight C4 and C5 MailCrafters to link all its machines and create a history for each job.
It is able to monitor the status of the machines at all times, said Mailing & Mechanisation managing director Dave Kolb. It records when the operator is logged in and logged off, average speeds and gives a cumulative time for errors.
By anticipating problems with re-orders it can provide precise job times and lets users cost orders more accurately.
We also have a modem linked to our customers, which allows us to dial in and fault find if there are any problems, added Kolb.
