The Sherwood Press Group has acquired digital specialist Carson Offset for an undisclosed sum.
Carson Offset, which has a turnover of 1.1m, was bought by Sherwood subsidiary Milford Printers and will take the groups turnover to over 14m.
Sherwood managing director Jeremy Bacon said: Carsons owner, Max Carter, wants to retire soon and we want to expand our digital interests. This allows Carson and us to get into the colour digital market.
Carson Offset has two Xerox DocuTech 6135s alongside a two-colour Heidelberg MO press.
All of Carson Offsets 22 employees will be retained, as will its name and premises.
Bacon added: Carson Offset will complement the other group companies and it will provide our customers with an even wider portfolio of products.
Milford Printers is PrintWeeks current SME Company of the Year an accolade it received for the second time in three years.
The other members of the group are The Sherwood Press and Gordon Graphics.
