Mets-Serlas AGM heard that the groups 37m (E59.5m) direct share issue had been over-subscribed by almost three times.
Trading of the shares was scheduled to begin on the main list of the Helsinki Exchanges last week. The offering comprised 35m Series B shares.
The AGM resolved that Mets-Serlas new name would be M-real (PrintWeek, 23 March).
The group also elected its board members, including Metsliitto Group chief executive Antti Oksanen as chairman.
He was joined on the board by Nordic Investment Bank deputy managing director Erkki Karmilla, among others, while Arimo Uusitola was elected as vice chairman.
