Managing director Bob Fellows, finance director Martin Pulley and sales director Iain Cox led the buyout.
The group was more focused on the digital side of things and we were not part of that core business, so we approached them with a deal, said Cox.
Multisets merged with sister companies Reedform and Print Data earlier this year (PrintWeek, 31 January). It has recently installed an Oc Pagestream, and specialises in continuous stationery, NCR sets and direct mail fulfilment.
The 72-staff company also has an office in Wokingham that deals with print management.
Kelvinside chairman Brian Molloy said the group had pulled out of the business forms sector to concentrate attention on the digital.
Our primary focus is digital, but we also have two other divisions, general commercial litho printing and marketing products, said Molloy.
He said there were no plans for the group to sell further non-digital assets.
Last month Kelvinside Group announced the doubling of its digital print chain, C3 Imaging, with a 3m investment (PrintWeek, 6 June). This included additional shops in Birmingham, Edinburgh, Leeds, Nottingham and Sheffield.
