The new machine, acquired from Ryobi UK distributor Apex Digital Graphics, will replace a five-year-old Ryobi 3304 portrait press.
"With the new press we were able to immediately improve our publications by making them full-colour throughout, and printing is now a quick and straightforward process using the GX," said Maypole senior partner Jim Robinson (pictured front).
B3 firm Maypole produces local publications and currently splits its operation between publishing activity and general commercial print.
"We opted for the extended delivery, which helps the drying process particularly if we are running a coating on the fifth unit," added Maypole partner and print manager Dean Robinson (back).
The South Woodham Ferrers, Essex-based Plates are produced on an Esko-Graphics DPX System, also provided by Apex.
