He joins Lancashire-based Tharstern following a 12-year stint as marketing manager at Shuttleworth. Tharstern executive director Abdul Kassas said Marienthal had been brought onboard, along with two other sales representatives to support the overseas expansion of the firm.
"He will help us concentrate on breaking into new markets and building upon the success of the new software solutions available," Kassas said. "We are also looking at smaller printers again in effect, going back to our roots. There will be developments in the future."
Marienthal had a spell at John S Burns in sales and has worked for Dunfermline Press as an estimator. He was also production manager at Greenock Telegraph.
The company launched its SmallPrint MIS, tailored to the needs of print SMEs at Ipex. "The launch of both SmallPrint and T3 has generated a large volume of interest for us," said Kassas.
Marienthal moves to Tharstern
Scott Marienthal has been appointed sales manager at MIS specialist Tharstern, after he moved from rival company Shuttleworth Business Systems.
