"We feel there is enough scope in the market for another coated grade to compete," said chief executive Andrew Towle.
The merchant, part of the Buhrmann Group, will stock M6 Gloss and Silk in conversion reel stocks, in weights from 115gsm to 250gsm, along with a bespoke service.
Towle said the company would launch a new web and sheet grade, Bluewater Satin, in September. It will also be stocked in conversion reel stock format, available in 95, 110, 125, 145 and 165gsm weights.
As well as the web and sheetfed print market, the grade is aimed at envelope converters.
Both M6 Gloss and Silk and Bluewater Satin will be exclusive to M6 in the UK.
