In addition to the new press, the company has upgraded its existing machines so that they can be linked to a central processor, which will control inking on all five presses.
The firm declined to comment on the size of its recent investment, but said that it was part of a "substantial" spend, including the new press, a platesetter and a binding line.
Managing director Bill Livingstone hinted that the firm already has enough work to fill the press. "We plan to treble shift the new press immediately to give a faster turnaround." he said.
