The firm has received over 400 replies from customers that it had targeted with invites for product demonstrations on its suppliers stands.
Mulvaney said interest in digital printing, CTP and large-format ink-jet printing had been especially high.
"I had concerns about the enthusiasm customers might have for Ipex," said Mulvaney. "There has been a general downward trend in attendances at shows recently, but this seems to have struck a chord."
Customers that accept the invitation will be given a fixed demonstration time with their desired supplier, from a roster that includes Xerox, Screen, Agfa, Kodak Polychrome Graphics and HighWater. "Its a bit of a value-added service for customers," said Mulvaney.
And he said suppliers would be able to offer improved demonstrations if they knew what to expect from each visitor.
