Head of manufacturing Helen Kennet said: "The main reason we chose the 9230 is for its quality. We believe it is the first digital web that provides the high quality needed for the quality book and journal markets."
The reel-fed press, part of Oc's 9000 series, features black-and-white printing plus up to three Oc CustomTone highlight colours. A spokesman for the Dorchester firm said it was excited to be installing the UK's first 9230.
Mark Kennet, financial controller of the family-run business, said: "We've always invested in digital devices that are top quality and we were very impressed with the 9230. The new machine will significantly increase our mono digital capacity and that's the way we see the market going. We therefore believe we can win new contracts off the back of this investment."
