Landa Digital Printing has promoted Mark Dempsey to a new global role.

Dempsey, who is based in the UK, joined Landa from HP Indigo four years ago as regional business manager.

He has now been promoted to become director of global and strategic accounts at the Israeli digital press manufacturer.

Landa currently has a dozen installations of its B1 S10 and S10P sheetfed digital presses worldwide, and is gearing up to ship more presses, including its W10 flexible packaging press.

There is currently one Landa press in the UK, at Bluetree Group in south Yorkshire.

Speaking last month, recently-appointed CEO Arik Gordon said the company was “in transition” from being a technology development company to a market-oriented business.

“We need to build the infrastructure in order to support, very soon, hundreds of presses out there and that’s a different focus than before. Of course, we continue to develop the technology in parallel,” he stated.

Landa is currently recruiting for a number of operational and support roles, including a field support engineer in the UK.

Dempsey's industry career includes sales roles at HP Scitex, Raster Printers and Robert Horne.
