The Islington-based printer has brought around 30% of its laminating work in house after installing the machine to handle business cards, magazine covers and flyers.
The investment has also enabled Swoop to launch a new service – same day matt- and gloss-laminated business cards.
Managing director Ike Okosa said: "We had to give three- to five-day turnarounds for business cards because they needed to be sent out. But they can now be turned around in a day."
Swoop Media has been going for 13 years and currently has a turnover of just under £1m and six staff. The company handles work from SMEs, local authorities and schools.
The Matrix 370 comes with a semi-automatic and a fully automatic separator.
It is designed to handle SRA3 sheets at a top speed of 10m/min.
