Kornit Digital’s Fespa booth was buzzing with the firm’s DTG print technology addressing numerous pain points and sweet spots in the market.

The Israel-headquartered firm (2.2-C20) is showing its 400-garments-an-hour Apollo system with Smart Curing, alongside an abundance of samples including high-value, chic effects like black-on-black, photorealistic designs, and textured prints.

“There is a lot of uncertainty in the world at the moment, and people are looking for solutions that solve that, and we solve uncertainty,” said chief product officer Danny Gazit.

“If you need one, you print one. We also have business models that allow customers to operate in different ways.”

This includes an all-inclusive click charge option, as an alternative to a capex purchase.

“There are interesting dynamics in the market – on demand is becoming a must, and there is a convergence in short- to medium-sized run lengths, and this is where we come in,” he added.

Customers using analogue processes are increasingly switching to digital, he said, with on demand “becoming a must”.

Benefits include automation, reduced labour costs, and the ability to “chunk” longer runs in batches to avoid over-stocking and wastage – a key sustainability topic in fashion and retail.

Gazit also said one customer had purchased a Kornit system specifically because of issues around finding reliable staff.

He highlighted the potential to “unleash creativity”.

“What’s possible with this system is quite amazing.”

The firm's booth also featured video testimonials from customers around the world, including T Shirt & Sons from the UK.
