Komori is installing a four-unit System 38SII web in its Leeds showroom, making it the only press manufacturer with a demonstration web in the country.
"It's being built now and will be in operation for a European web forum on optimising web offset output being held here in the first week of April," explained head of marketing Philip Dunn.
The 16pp press is equipped with Komori's fast makeready KHS system and fully automatic plate changing. A similarly-specified machine was shown doing seven-minute job changeovers at Drupa last year.
"Whatever the format, the same features apply across the whole range, and there are a lot of commercial web printers interested in looking at Komori," Dunn noted.
Komori UK managing director Martin Rickards said: "In the last 12-18 months we've been the market leader in the UK in terms of web press units, and we've sold machines to the UK's premier companies."
