The firm began using the new set-up at the start of the summer with the violet plate, which has not yet been named or given an official commercial launch.
A number of firms are beta-testing the plate, which is due to launch later in the year and will join Kodak's VioletNews plate, which launched at Ifra last year.
No other users have yet been named, although the plate is being tested by UK firms with ECRM and Heidelberg platesetters. Screen machines are also accredited to run the plate.
Kodak UK marketing manager Pat Holloway said the firm was "extremely pleased with the plate's performance", and that an official launch would come later in the year.
