Knight said he was very open about the kind of firms he would like to represent, but added: I wouldnt think it would be pre-press, although I wouldnt preclude it.
Its got to be something we can make a difference to. Knight said. We might find that some of the traditional people arent happy with their outlets.
The Knight Organisation comprises Ry-Offset Graphics (for new Ryobis), Ryobi Press Centre (for used Ryobis), Ry-Offset Re-Sales (used machinery), BPA Vacuum Pumps and Compressors, and Printers Superstore (consumables).
Ry-Offset Graphics also has a joint venture company with Apex Digital, DI Solutions, which sells the Ryobi 3404DI. Knight said DI Solutions could be a vehicle for other products.
Knight, who is also president of Ipex, said he was very excited about the show. Its very well timed. Even for printers who are suffering, a showcase event like this stimulates their thinking, he added.
