Blanket manufacturer Kinyosha has acquired DIC Europe, the company that exclusively distributed its products in the UK and Europe for 28 years.
The new company, Kinyo Europe, will start trading from 1 April from DICs former locations: Kinyo Germany will be located
in Dsseldorf, Kinyo France in Paris, Kinyosha Iberica in Barcelona and Kinyo UK in Leeds.
Kinyo Europe chairman and president of Kinyo in the US, Kazuo Nakamura, said: "The European market is very important to us. We didnt feel that we had enough direct contact with, and access to, the end user. We needed more customer feedback manufacturers need direct contact with their customers."
Nakamura said the take-over represented a commitment to the European market and would ensure a more efficient technical service and improved research and development.
Kinyo Europe will exclusively distribute the companys portfolio of offset blankets, which are available in a wide range of compounds and thickness.
The range includes blankets for sheetfed presses and heatset and coldset webs with applications.
